Hi! I’m going to explain how to prepare the typical “PATATAS BRAVAS”
from Spain but in a traditional way. If you come to Spain and you’re a tourist
it’s normal to taste one of our main “TAPAS”, “PATATAS BRAVAS”. But normally in
the touristic places they will put you a dish with frozen potatoes bathed in
lots of oil with a fake sauce taken from the supermarket next to. This is how
we prepare in my home the typical “PATATAS BRAVAS”.
Ingredients
600g potatoes
2 chilli peppers
4 tomatoes
Oil
Firstly, boil the potatoes entire and without peeling them in a pot with
salt during 20 minutes more or less. Remove them and let them chill.
Fry the chilli peppers sliced in three pieces in a frying pan. Peel the
potatoes and sliced them. Put them into the frying pan and season them with
salt and pepper during 20 minuts more or less.
Remove them from the frying pan and put them in a plate. Empty the
tomatoes in the frying pan and fry this in the same oil during 5-10 minutes. Add pepper and salt. Spread
this sauce on the potatoes. And finished! You will have the typical “PATATAS
BRAVAS”!
I hope you like it!
